Drew this as a perspective assignment, "deep space." The honeycomb hexagons in perspective were difficult. My dad was a beekeeper for 17 years until he suddenly became allergic one day. Store-bought honey tastes weird to me.

Pencil, bristol board. Approx. 50 hours. Very detailed, about 22x30" although you can't see a lot of the detail in this photo.

WOW- simply amazing. I recently did a perspective drawing for an art class too. this is one awesome idea. And you excede just getting down the perspective part. I love the expression on his face.

did you reference an image?

strange about how your dd became suddenly allergic after 17 years? I love honey but I've never had un-store bought honey. My favorite is orange blossom.

I'd be okay cool as rail/if they'd just let us have health food in hell

Yeah, there were a lot of reference images for the bees, and a couple for the outfit.

"I'm like a person whose hands were kept numb, without sensation from the first moment of awareness--until one day the ability to feel is forced into them.

And I say: "Look! I have hands!" But the people all around me say: "What are hands?"
